Pablo Picasso

Works on Paper 1945 - 1973

September, 2007

This exhibition explored the many different media and techniques of Pablo Picasso. He drew constantly; in pencil, pen, ink, pastel and watercolor. Some of these works are very complete studies, others are doodles or sketches worked out on café tables. This exhibition also includes his works in intaglio; countless prints produced over a lifetime. This wealth of work examines the broad historical perspectives and artistic importance of Picasso's achievements in the medium of printmaking.
